Job Summary
We are currently hiring for the position of Administrative Assistant temporarily. At this position, you will provide essential administrative and business support services to Highway Operations Management Branch managers and staff. This role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a customer-service-focused approach.
Responsibilities:
- Develop business strategies, policies, and programs for communications and marketing activities, including merchandising and packages
- Plan, organize, and coordinate marketing activities and advertising campaigns on websites and different social media
- Design, develop, and implement marketing initiatives and advertising events and promotions
- Maintain and update the local PSP website and social media platforms
- Conduct market research studies and analyze findings
- Manage budgets and project timelines
- Prepare documents, papers, and press releases, considering layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for effective communication and collaboration
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline, with experience in communications and marketing
- OR College diploma/certificate in the aforementioned fields, with several years of experience in communications and marketing or a related field
- Strong experience in market research, developing marketing strategies, preparing advertising campaigns, and project management
- Proficiency in web page maintenance and using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email, and Internet browsing
- Knowledge of communications and marketing principles, information and public relations techniques, and budget management
- Familiarity with sports, leisure, and community programs is an asset
- Legally Authorized to Work in Canada
